We are looking for a number of executive positions. Some were vacant this year and others have executive members that have completed their 2 year term. We will be electing for the following positions:

1. President – Currently filled by Charmaine, 2 year term is complete
2. Director of officials – Currently filled by Ivan Svendsen, Ivan no longer has skaters in the club so postion is open
3. Fundraising Coordinator – Currently unfilled –
4.Director of coaching – Currently filled by Bill Stephens 2 year term is complete
5. Meet Coordinator – Currently filled by Charmaine & Bill Stephens 2 year term complete
We also would like to have elect someone begin to train in Communications with Shelley Merth over the upcoming season ( Website/Facebook/Twitter Etc).
We will also be reviewing financials and have some important announcements to make.

There is a lot happening in the club this year and we are asking that all families try and send at least one representative to the AGM.

As mentioned over the past season we really need some of our newer parents to join the Executive as we are seeing a changing of the guard, as we have graduated 8 skaters in the past 2 years and with them goes their parents and our executive body! Your associate memberships give you vote amd we need your input and help.

See you April 19!

AB Provincial Team

Congratulations to Emma Stephens for being named to the Alberta Short Track Development team for the 2016-2017 season!

There are certain time standards in place for this team and the other levels within the provincial system.  These are great goals to keep in mind as you prepare for your next season of long and short track training.  The Development Team standard ensures that you receive a provincial skin suit and team jacket, while the other levels come with some amount of funding.

2015-16 AB Provincial team Criteria (these are the times from last year and are updated if new records are set)

Provincial Short Track – Avg times under 115%.  Note that your times are an average of your 500m, 1000m times along with one of your 1500m or 3000m times.
